Annual Sports Day of Excel Public School was held at Justice Krishna Iyer Memorial Thalassery Municipal Stadium. The colourful opening ceremony was inaugurated by Devika Deepak C M, Gold Medal Winner in Kalaripayattu in the National Games representing Kerala by hoisting the school flag. Ms. Chanchana C also gold medalist in Kalaripayattu in the National Games lighted the Olympic torch. A colourful marchpast comprising all four houses, Jhalam, Prithvi, Vayu and Agni, school band troupe, Guide volunteers was held and the chief guests received the salute. It was followed by Karate Display, Aerobics and drill. The students actively took part in various events such as short put, long jump, high jump, triple jump, 100 to 1500 meters running race, relay discus throw etc. The events came to a close in the evening by solemnly bringing down the school flag and handing it over to the principal.
