International Tiger Day is observed on July 29 every year to spread awareness about the dangers and problems faced by tigers across the globe. It is necessary as well as important to focus on the matter of tiger conservation as it plays a key role in protecting and maintaining a balanced ecosystem. The theme for this year’s world Tiger Day is, “Their survival is in our hands.” On this occasion a webinar was conducted by Shri Azeez Mahe, renowned wildlife photographer and writer, stressing the need for protecting the tiger. It was a lively interactive session where the students got the opportunity to see rare photographs of tigers from the wild life sanctuaries and tiger reserves of India and Masai Mara, Africa.
